What I Got for $15 at Goodwill

I love Goodwill. This week, I picked up a few items from Goodwill and thought that I’d share what I found and how I would style them:

As I mentioned in my previous post, I love looking through the pants section. I came across these striped pants and thought that they would be great for the spring and summer. They were marked $5; however, each week a different colored tag is the half-off color so I got these for $2.50! I paired them with my next item: a plain bright orange t shirt. I thought that the color was perfect for the summer and I really like the look of tying the front into a knot. This shirt was $4 but again the half-off color, making it $2!

I have been wanting to try out the neon trend so I picked up this Ralph Lauren t shirt for $3.50. I didn’t like the original length so I cropped it by just cutting off a couple inches with some fabric scissors. I paired it with some denim and I really like the look of neon with denim.

Lastly, I picked up with floral peplum tank originally from American Eagle. I thought that it was a great casual top for the summer and paired it with some denim overalls. It was $7.

  1. YO! I could literally go to urban outfitters and find similar things for close to six times the cost of these! These are awesome finds! And 15 dollars is a great price for all of that. Goodwill is a favorite as well as your blog! 😉

  2. The last two outfits were definitely bringing back some 90’s feelings for me, and I am all for it! It’s incredible the things that people will just donate away and soon it becomes someone else’s treasure. I love how you mentioned that you didn’t necessarily like the way something fit you, so you cropped the shirt. Combine that with thrifting, you’ve got a very creative eye for style!
I liked all three outfits, but I’d say the second outfit was by far my favorite.
I’m looking forward to your next finds.

  3. Girrrrl your style! I love it! I love how retro it is. The first outfit I wish I was wearing right now, it’s so cute. I feel like thrifting has become so popular that when I try to go out and spot some deals, I rarely find any! 😦 Do you know if there’s a certain day that’s best when they get new items? It would be fun to do like a vlog for your channel where you take us shopping with you or something in the future!

    1. Thank you:) I think going earlier in the week is best and during the week. Weekends are usually busier and more picked over. I also think they put out new items at the beginning of the week but bigger stores like Goodwill probably put them out almost everyday. I love watching vlogs like that and would love to try it myself.

  4. Great haul! My wife tried some overalls the other day, but decided they weren’t quite “her” and sent them back. When we first met, she often favored a denim overall skirt. Remember those? 😂

  5. Really cool that you are able to find such great deals on clothes, I know I’ve spent too much on clothing before, I know others can relate to that as well. That’s cool that you got some of the stuff on sale too, so it was an even better deal.

  6. Hey Jaden,

That is amazing you found all that for $15! My mom use to dress us from clothes she found at thrift stores. I remember a LONNNNGGG time ago when I wanted a pair of Guess jeans that had a zipper in the back pant legs. I found a white pair at a thrift store and they were even my size. Good memories. Thanks for sharing!!!

  7. Jaden, your posts encourage me to go thrifting again. It is one of the loves my husband and I share. We each go our separate ways in the store and then meet up to compare our finds. It one of my favorite pastimes. Thanks your sharing your passion with us!
